Litter box training starts as soon as they leave the nest box. I use kitten litter pan, with some horse stall pellets and hay on top.
I do put food bowls in the box for a few weeks. Rabbits tend to go where they eat.
Feeding.. I feed 1/4 cup of pellets twice a day. Hay is free fed.. Timothy.. orchard or oat hay.. what ever I have available.
I also feed old fashioned oats or whole oats /Black oil sunflower seeds mixture.. teaspoon twice a day.
I feed spring greens.. bit of carrot/apple/pear..ect.. every other day.. Do not feed to rabbits under 6 months.

What’s the best combination of of housing rabbits together?
I find that the best combination is a buck and doe that have both been spayed and neutered.
Adopting a litter mates is ideal as they already know each other so are less likely to fight. However, any combinations of rabbits can also live happily together if they are introduced correctly and spayed and neutered

GI Stasis
GI Stasis is the shutting down of the digestive tract. It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to keep hay for your bunny AT ALL TIMES!!! A bunny's digestive tract is unlike ours. They absolutely MUST have "roughage" such as hay or even their feed available at all times! If they go without eating, even as little as a few hours sometimes, this can start a chain of events inside of their digestive tract that will completely shut down their digestion and ultimately cause extreme pain and bloating, dehydration and eventually death. And usually it cannot be "undone" or fixed.
Their normal daily poo should be hard little balls , firm and not mushy. They also have a night time poo that’s called Cecotropes that will appear to be a bit softer and formed like a batch of much smaller grapes stuck together. Now , again, I realize a lot of folks find this disgusting, but it is necessary for the bunny to be able to "digest" his own Cecetropes , at least in part. This special night time poo contains the necessary "good" bacteria that helps the bunny's digestion... much like when we humans eat yogurt with the special enzymes that help our digestive system.
Whatever you do, please be sure your bunny has a steady supply of hay at all times. Of course fresh water is also very important.

Veterinarian Care
If one of your rabbits is behaving differently than usual or they’re showing regular signs of fear and stress, it could be that your rabbit is in pain.
As prey animals, rabbits try to hide any signs of suffering or pain prevent themselves from looking weak to predators, so it can be difficult to know when they need help. If you notice these changes, be sure to take your furry friends to the vet.

What Is A Pedigree?
A pedigree is a family tree of your rabbit.. it’s made by the breeder.. it’s not like you get a registration when you buy a dog..
I use pedigrees because I’m breeding for colors.. you don’t even need one to show.. unless you get the rabbit granded and want to register it through Arba..
Should you get a pedigree when buying a pet? I honestly don’t think so..
A Pedigreed rabbit isn’t any better than any other rabbit..
To me the most important thing.. if it’s Purebred.
I do ask more for a pedigree with my rabbits. . Because that’s what I paid for a lot of mine with pedigree.
Every pet bunny comes with a birth certificate
What is ARBA
. American Rabbit Breeders Association,INC..
Any one with 20.00 a year can Register their rabbitry.. as long as you pay the money you stay registered..
They don’t come out and check anything.. they mail you a certificate in the mail along with a membership card..
If you show it’s best to join.. but me being a pet breeder.. it’s a waste in my opinion of money..

For the Love of a Bunny
A lot of bunnies don’t like to be held.. they’re prey animals.. doesn’t mean they don’t like you ..
But they love a good head rub.. or just hopping around you..
I myself only have 2 that loved to be cuddled..
If you have a shy bun.. give him or her a couple pieces of old fashioned oats.. they totally love that..and it’s a way that they’ll know you’re a great person.. because you have great treats
I take a lot of pictures, because it gets the bunnies used to being handled. The more you handle the better the pet. I strive to raise the best pet rabbits. I want my bunnies to be part of your family, not just a rabbit in a cage.
